We are pleased to share that members of DNet-GT will present five research papers at the IEEE European Symposium on Security and Privacy (EuroS&P 2026), taking place from July 6–10, 2026, in Lisbon, Portugal.

The accepted papers showcase our ongoing research in software security, covering topics including vulnerability management, vulnerability prediction, AI security, and blockchain security. Together, these contributions reflect AlanLab’s commitment to developing methods and tools for understanding, detecting, and mitigating security risks across modern software ecosystems.

Accepted Papers

  • A Comparative Analysis of Vulnerability Management in Machine Learning Projects Nelly Zurabyan, Chaomeng Lu, Bert Lagaisse

  • Hello World, Goodbye Credentials: An Initial Study of Skill-Induced Security Risks in Agentic AI Systems Tianyu Li, Bert Lagaisse

  • TMRugPull: A Temporally Sound Multimodal Dataset for Early Rug Pull Detection Mohammad Pishdar, Fatemeh Shoaei, Mozafar Bag Mohammadi, Mojtaba Karami, Bert Lagaisse

  • Graph Neural Networks for Vulnerability Prediction in C/C++ Open Source Projects Nelli Zurabyan, Tolga Kuntman, Michel Moussally, Bert Lagaisse

  • Ecosystem Analysis of Web3 Smart Contract Vulnerability Classification and Management Vivian Tsang, Bert Lagaisse

Research Topics

  • Vulnerability management
  • Vulnerability prediction
  • Machine learning security
  • Agentic AI security
  • Blockchain and Web3 security
  • Software security analytics

These papers explore complementary aspects of software security, ranging from empirical studies of vulnerability management practices to novel approaches for vulnerability prediction, security challenges introduced by agentic AI systems, and security analysis of blockchain ecosystems. Together, they demonstrate the breadth of AlanLab’s research in addressing both established and emerging cybersecurity challenges.

The work will be presented at EuroS&P 2026, providing an opportunity to engage with the international cybersecurity research community, exchange ideas, and discuss future directions in software and systems security.

We would like to congratulate all authors on their accepted papers and thank everyone who contributed to these research projects. We look forward to presenting our work in Lisbon and engaging with researchers and practitioners from around the world.
